Establish appropriate guidelines for text links

Let me explain what I mean about creating proper link text. Text link only that, the text of the link is made. I am sure you have links to "Continue" on numerous occasions in his travels. Although as a text link that will not prevent the search engines or people who go to these links, which definitely does not help the search engines with the idea of what the linked page.

What about them?

What's wrong is that the links do not describe the reality that link to pages. When the search engines that can reach in your tracking link, which will assume the destination is the link leads to a theme called 'Click here'. While modern search engines are smart enough to avoid this and still contains the destination page is about, the relationship is clearly a missed opportunity!

Why is that?

It is important because the link in the eyes of search engines has given weight to the phrase "Click here" page for their sites. The search engine then realizes that 'here' is not correct and most likely only excludes the expression of the weighting. So at the end of the credit for the link, but not any of the words in the link. You could have loaded up the link with some good words instead juicy!

The best examples

A link to this article might be something like 'Creating Good Link Text. "That basically sums up what this is content. I used the link text to describe what the topic of this page. A good rule of thumb is to create a text link that is between 1-4 words that best describe what your page is about. The search engines give weight to this page for the term "create a text link" and I can not imagine someone write the exact phrase into a search engine. So from my web site which is related to the exact length, this page is more likely to appear in the search rankings high!

One thing we want to avoid is to use exactly the same link text again and again to a specific page. This means that if I were to go and send this page to a lot of link directories, asked people to link to this page, or linked to this page some of my other websites. I do not want to keep using the phrase "creating a good 'again and again. A better idea would be to mix with different variations. For example, you could use the link text', 'link name', 'Name strategies link 'or other similar names that says the same thing, but used different words.
